  11. 1) Though there is no cost to participate in the SLO Car Free program, in exchange for the exposure/publicity we provide, participating restaurants must offer a discount or promotional savings to SLO Car Free patrons. We recommend a 10-20% discount on meals or free items of equal value such as a "free glass of wine with dinner,” "free cup of coffee with other purchase” or a "free appetizer with purchase of a regular entree.” The ideas listed are merely suggestions, but we are open to any offers you wish to provide.
